I had a mixed experience at this hotel. While the rooms were beautiful and by the water, they were not entirely worth the price I paid for due to the presence of spiders, cobwebs, and ants. On the positive side, the service was friendly and helpful, but at times, it felt a bit overwhelmed.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were beautiful being on the water, but unfortunately, they had issues with spiders, cobwebs, and ants.
Service
8.0
The service was friendly and helpful overall, but at times it felt a bit overwhelmed.
Location
7.0
The location was pretty central, allowing for reasonably cost Uber rides to explore San Diego and its vicinity. However, the lushness of the surroundings seemed to have faded with some areas appearing dried out and overgrown.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience was fair, but not exactly worth the high cost, especially considering what you pay for the room. The food was somewhat overpriced for the quality.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel facilities were okay, but they seemed to lack the lushness and maintenance in some areas.

The Jr. Suite bungalow had two connecting doors to the other bungalows, making it a cozy setup. There was no desk for work during the conference, which was a bit inconvenient. We received wonderful assistance from a helpful woman who was very kind to us throughout our stay.

Rooms
8.0
The bungalows are basically little adjoined units, offering a unique layout. Clean and comfortable overall, though lacking a proper workspace.
Service
9.0
While checking us in, one staff member was a bit off-putting by scratching his crotch, which was uncomfortable. However, the rest of the team was incredibly personable, professional, and always ready to assist. They truly excelled in creating a welcoming resort atmosphere, catering to various types of guests.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is so good that some minor downsides can be overlooked. It offers easy access to the best sights of San Diego with a fantastic property to explore, though certain areas could be better maintained.
Dining
6.0
The dining options were a bit limited, and the overall cost felt steep considering. Despite this, there are opportunities to enjoy French products and have a decent meal, particularly for lunch at one of their restaurants.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities are well-kept, with plenty to offer guests for a wonderful stay. Despite some minor drawbacks, they strive to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

8.2/10

The hotel offers a pleasant stay with clean, comfortable rooms and a friendly staff. The location is excellent for beach lovers and families, although the dining experience could be improved with more variety. Overall, a good value for the money.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms feature modern amenities like a safe, small fridge, and air conditioning. However, the parking lot view may not be ideal. The availability of plenty of plugs and USB connectors is convenient. Request a room with a patio not facing the main road for a better experience.
Service
9.0
The service was excellent, with a friendly and accommodating staff. The location near the beach and cove adds to the overall experience, making it ideal for families.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is perfect for beach activities and long walks by the ocean. It is also conveniently close to San Diego downtown, SeaWorld, and shopping areas. The relaxing feel of being on Vacation Island surrounded by Mission Bay is a definite highlight.
Dining
7.0
While some found the food surprisingly tasty, others were disappointed with the quality and pricing. The sourdough bread was a notable positive aspect. Keep in mind that additional charges like the large resort fee may impact the overall dining value.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel offers basic facilities with a focus on the beach, pool, and outdoor amenities. The fire pits and beach cove add to the relaxed atmosphere.

Staying at this hotel was a great experience overall. The rooms, many being their own little duplex, offered a sense of privacy, although the lack of a view was a downside. Being on or near the beach was a plus, but the temperature control was a bit inconsistent for comfort.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were cozy and private, with a downside of no views of the surrounding area.
Service
9.0
The staff was always friendly and went above and beyond to ensure a terrific experience, making sure all our needs were promptly taken care of.
Location
9.0
The location made me feel like I was in a tropical paradise without the humidity, with beautiful, quiet surroundings near the beach.
Dining
6.0
While the food was good, the dining options were limited, and the prices were on the higher side, turning the exclusive resort into a bit of a food-related challenge.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities were well-kept and added to the overall pleasant stay at the hotel.

Staying at the Barefoot Grill was a delightful experience. I loved the beautiful beach bungalows facing the water, surrounded by a large lawn area. The two fabulous restaurants surrounded by water and marine life added a special charm to my stay, especially on Christmas Eve.

Rooms
9.0
The rooms facing the water were cozy and provided fantastic views. The ambiance of the location made my stay even more enjoyable.
Service
8.0
The service provided by Paradise Point's friendly staff was exceptional. I particularly enjoyed the easy beach access, although the golf buggies driving a bit too fast was a minor downside. Overall, the service exceeded my expectations.
Location
9.0
The location of the resort in Mission Bay was truly beautiful, with lush green surroundings perfect for long walks by the ocean. Being near SeaWorld and other shopping areas made it very convenient. The well-kept property and top-notch staff made my experience even more memorable.
Dining

My dining experience at 'Bayside' was enjoyable, but the high price, in addition to an extensive resort fee for services that were not fully provided, was a bit of a letdown. However, the quality of the beef dishes was impressive.
Facilities

The facilities at the resort were impressive, offering a range of amenities to enhance my stay. The beautiful picnic area and convenient shores added to the overall experience.
